5. ODP Communication 071-18 : Request for Approved Program Capacity and Noncontiguous Clearance
This Office of Developmental Programs’ (ODP) communication is to inform all interested parties providing services in the Consolidated, Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS), and Community Living Waivers of the new process and form ODP staff will utilize in determining Approved Program Capacity (APC) and noncontiguous location clearance. The announcement also includes instructions and Regional Waiver Capacity Manager contact information .

6. ODP Bulletin 00-18-04 Reissue : Interim Technical Guidance for Claim and Service Documentation
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide interim guidance to providers regarding claim and service documentation processes. This guidance is applicable to providers of Consolidated, Community Living and P/FDS Waiver services as well as Targeted Support Management (TSM). The bulletin is being reissued because the original attachment contained a draft watermark.

The Money Follows the Person (MFP) Initiative Dual Diagnosis Professional Conference Series is hosting a session on September 28 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. In the session, Assessment and Effective Intervention for Individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and Unique Communication Needs: Building Services that Work , attendees will review the potential value of pharmacotherapy for people with developmental disabilities and autism. There is no registration fee but pre-registration is required.

As a part of an ongoing effort to develop model legislation that addresses issues of common concern to the provider network, ANCOR is releasing its first state model legislation that they hop will assist states by providing the tools they need to continue to protect and lift up disability services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

According to Bloomberg Government, government can't change Medicaid policy by just posting documents on an agency website, a federal appeals court ruled. The case, which focused on DSH payments is titled Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters v. Azar, and a full opinion with more details on facts of the case is available online .

The  National Core Indicators (NCI)  has a variety of ways of sharing information including through data briefs, annual At A Glance reports, articles, national data reports and presentations. ANCOR is sharing a new data product which NCI has been developing, a “data highlight”. These documents briefly describe interesting data findings and share additional resources those interested in the topics can turn to for more information. The two first such “data highlights” are on the topic of guardianship, and health and safety.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services named Paul Mango, former Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate, chief of staff and chief principal deputy administrator.

Kentucky's Medicaid waiver plan that included numerous obstacles to accessing Medicaid health care services, such as requiring Kentuckians to document work hours to access and obtain health care which was passed by the Trump administration has been halted by Federal Court.

House Bill 200 , sponsored by Representative Toohill, was passed by the House on June 12, 2018 and referred to the Senate Health and Hum an Services Committee on June 15. The act amends the act of December 19, 1990 (P.L.1372, No.212), known as the Early Intervention Services System Act, further providing for title of the act, for definitions and for child identification, assessment and tracking system; and making editorial changes.
