Due to the recent hot temperatures and lack of rain, the City of Boerne is entering Stage 2 Water Conservation beginning Friday, August 3.

Landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems is allowed only from 7 pm - 11 am one day per week, according to your street address. Hand watering with a hose or bucket is allowed anytime.

You can purchase most clothing, footwear, school supplies, and backpacks , tax free during the 2018 Sales Tax Holiday, August 10 - 12. This holiday occurs just in time for back to school shopping, so be sure to stock up and skip the sales tax.

On Wednesday, August 8, the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center will be taking donations in their Blood Mobile in front of Boerne City Hall from 10 am – 5 pm.

You can give the life-saving gift of blood by appointment or by walking in with a valid ID, however appointments will take precedence.
August 11 is National Safe Digging Day! Before you install a fence, sprinkler system, swimming pool, deck, flower bed or any other project that requires digging, remember to call 811 before you dig!

This free service is available 24/7. Please be aware that you are required, under law, to make the call. After you make the call, the City of Boerne will locate our underground lines within two business days.

It's easy, all you have to do is dial 811!
Parks & Recreation's final "Movie in the Park" of the summer is August 17. Head to the pool at City Park for The Little Mermaid! Free swim at the pool will be from 6:30 - 8:30pm, and the movie begins at dark. This event is co-hosted by City Hill Church and Aqua Swift Aquatics

Come out early to pick your spot, get a snack or two, and enjoy free swim!

City of Boerne offices will be closed on Monday, September 3, in honor of Labor Day. This is not a holiday for garbage and recycling, so pickups will continue on their regular schedule.

Registration is officially open for this year's Grown Up Cup! This crazy and outrageous "adult field day" is filled with activities you've never seen in Boerne before!

The Bookshop Under the Windmill at Patrick Heath Public Library is now open on Thursday!

Bookshop Hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 10 am - 2 pm. This fantastic bookstore is run by volunteers from the Friends of the Boerne Public Library.
End your summer with a thrilling performance at Patrick Heath Public Library by the renowned Magik Theatre of San Antonio. Magik Theatre brings children’s books to life in amazing stage productions.

This production of “The Three Little Pigs,” will blow you away! Join in on the fun at PHPL on August 10 at 10 am.
Reminder! School starts this month and that means school zone speed limits will go back into effect.

The first day of school is August 20, so start slowing down and using extra caution at crosswalks.
The Boerne City Pool closes on August 19.
