In this month's newsletter, I include two of my blogs and an interesting short article from T. Boone Pickens.
How I got myself out of a Bad Mood.
Push those Shoulders Back. My blog on how to prevent becoming a hunchback.
T. Boone Pickens--- how he lives by a watch that tells time differently.
Happy August. We are on the downside of summer now.
QUOTE OF THE MONTH:
MOTTO OF THE MONTH:
Just remember, you can do it if you try
MOVIE OF THE MONTH:
Go see The Big Sick movie. It is the true story of how a Pakistani stand up comic met his wife. Doesn't sound that interesting but I predict it will be nominated for best movie in 2017.
How I Got Out of A Pissy Mood
Blog By: Carla Cotropia
I was in a pissy mood and I needed to do something to snap myself out of it. I asked myself, "What do you enjoy doing or put another way what will get you out of this pissy-bitchy mood?" My grandmother always told me that when she was in one of her moods, she would go outside and that would help. Her other remedy was cooking spaghetti--she was from Italy--but that sounded like too much time and too big of a risk that I would make it (I have her secret recipe) and gorge on spaghetti and that would further my pissy/bitchy mood.
Have you ever noticed older people that are very stooped? Some are so stooped that their heads aren't over their shoulders anymore. Did you wonder how they let that happen? Or maybe a more polite way of saying it is, what causes this?
T. Boone Pickens: 'You can just never, ever, give up'

I recently turned 89 years old, mindful of the fact I'm now 24 years beyond traditional retirement age.
My post-65 era has included the most productive years of my life.
I was 68 when I left Mesa Petroleum. I turned out the lights at 6 p.m. my last day in the office, as I had throughout my career. Not once at my farewell dinner at Bob's Steak and Chop House did I mention retirement.
