A message from the Mayor - We must always be vigilant
Christmas Holidays - Monday, December 25 & Tuesday, December 26
City offices will be closed.
Happy Holidays from all of us at the City of Boerne! We are a team of more than 230 employees that care deeply about Boerne and our quality of life. We are here to serve you and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season with family and friends!
Be a good neighbor - all year long
Boerne Utilities offers a chance to help out our neighbors who may struggle to pay their utilities bills especially during the holidays.
Account holders can "round up" or set up a monthly contribution to the Good Neighbor Fund. These funds are then provided to Hill Country Family Services which disperses the money to their Boerne clients on a limited income.  Please contact Customer Service at 249-9511 for details on how to sign up and help our Boerne neighbors.
Animal care reminders
The City of Boerne Animal Services team is reminding pet owners, and those thinking of becoming pet owners, of a few requirements and suggestions for your safety and the safety of your neighbors:
All dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies annually.
They must also be registered with the City of Boerne. This can be done at most vet clinics or at the Animal Shelter on Esser Road.

A maximum of 4 pets (dogs and/or cats) per household are allowed in the Boerne city limits. A kennel permit is required for more than 4 pets.
Boerne City Hall project update:

The architectural design process is getting close enough to begin nailing down costs for the new City Hall and Boerne Utilities HQ. Groundbreaking could happen in the Spring with move-in expected at the end of 2019. Watch for more updates on the Boerne City Hall Facebook page and on our website.
ATTENTION BOERNE UTILITIES WATER CUSTOMERS - Save water, save money!

Winter water averaging for Boerne Utilities water customers begins this month thru March. Most water used during the winter is for indoor purposes and then processed at the wastewater treatment plants. This is how your sewer rate is calculated for next year. So avoid landscape irrigation and reduce indoor consumption to save on your utility bill throughout the year.
Development project info
Do you ever wonder about the status of a private or public project being built in Boerne? Get answers on our new City of Boerne website page "What's happening". Once you launch the What's Happening page you can look for project photos and details from 4 categories: Commercial, Local Government, TXDOT, and Residential projects. The page will get updated frequently, so save it to your favorites and be "in the know".
New Year's Eve - celebrate in style
Enjoy your New Year's eve celebrations, but please remember that personal fireworks are not allowed in the Boerne city limits.

Let's start the new year off safely!
Chrismas tree recycling
Boerne Utilities crews will begin picking up your discarded real Christmas tree from the curb during the first week of January. Be sure all ornaments, nails, tinsel, etc. are removed. Trees will be taken to the Kendall Brush Recycling Center and ground into mulch.
New Year's Holiday - Monday, January 1
City offices will be closed
Boerne Utilities water customers to follow year-round watering conservation rules
Landscape watering is allowed any day of the week, but only between 7pm and 11am.

Watering with a hand held hose or bucket is allowed anytime.

Any waste of water is still prohibited and just costs you extra money anyway!
