We need your comments
The City of Boerne is updating the City Master Plan and invites residents and community members to share their thoughts and ideas on the future of our community at a public Open House on Thursday, May 4 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Kronkosky Place, 17 Old San Antonio Road.
The event is designed to allow participants to come and go, or come and stay as long as they like.  Burditt Consultants will facilitate the plan update and team members will be on hand, along with city staff, to answer questions and collect comments.
Don't mow those wildflowers yet!

Thanks to the spring rains we are enjoying public landscapes painted with the pinks, yellows, blues, and purples of Texas. Those images will soon give way to the oranges, yellows and browns of a south Texas summer.

The standard practice is to halt mowing of designated wildflower areas from January until mid-June so the flowers have time to disperse their seeds insuring another beautiful hill country spring.

According to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center it takes 8-10 weeks after the bloom before the flowers have the opportunity to seed out and lay their foundation for next spring.

Mosquitos just love standing water
Keep mosquitoes from laying eggs inside and outside of your home.  At least once a week, empty and scrub, turn over, cover, or throw out containers that hold water.  These can include vases, pet water bowls, flowerpot saucers, discarded tires, buckets, pool covers, birdbaths, trash cans, and rain barrels.
