Mayor Mike's monthly column
Thanks for your input!
We had over 1,700 responses to the online Master Plan survey- that is a terrific response for a community our size. What we have heard so far: a majority of people think Boerne is a great place; a majority of people feel Boerne is prospering in a responsible way; most people believe traffic congestion is our no. 1 challenge.

Our consultant team will compile and analyze all of the data received in the last 10 months and prepare a draft report for review by the Master Plan citizens steering committee, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council.

Stay tuned...
Wipes and pipes don't mix
We need your help! Nothing is worse than sewer pipes clogged with wipes and other so called "flushables". Sure they may go down your toilet, but they do not break down in the sewer system, and then they cause very expensive repairs. So PLEASE keep all baby wipes, facial cleansing wipes, napkins, paper towels, scrubbing pads, and feminine products out of the toilets.
Boerne Utilities water customers to follow year-round watering conservation rules
Landscape watering is allowed any day of the week, but only between 7pm and 11am.

Watering with a hand held hose or bucket is allowed anytime.

Any waste of water is still prohibited and just costs you extra money anyway!

Utility bill payment benefit
Did you know you can request an extension one time per calendar year? Customers may request this extension one time during the calendar year by paying at least 25% of the current bill total and get up to ten calendar days to pay off the balance. Some exceptions apply and customers must sign a payment extension contract. Contact a Boerne Utilities Customer Service rep at 249-9511 for more information.
