Boerne Master Plan Update
We need your help to create the next Master Plan for Boerne - this document will serve as a guide for the City's elected officials and staff as our special city grows over the next ten years.

Please provide your thoughts and desires by completing an online community survey at the following link. Allow yourself twenty minutes or so in order to provide feedback.

And mark you calendar now to attend an Open House on October 17 for another chance to give feedback on the plan elements so far.

Free HHW disposal for Boerne Utilities customers
Do you have household chemicals, old paints, used batteries, yard or pool chemicals, electronics, or other hazardous materials that need to be disposed of safely? 
If you are a Boerne resident and have a residential garbage collection account with Boerne Utilities, you can request free curbside pick-up of household hazardous waste items by calling Waste Management At Your Door services at 1-800-449-7587 or make the request online.

Patrick Heath Public Library happenings

Celebrating the value of libraries in our communities! During Power Up Week we bring light to the efforts of Texas libraries as they support education in today’s ever-changing, fast-paced digital environment. The City of Boerne supports wholeheartedly the Patrick Heath Public Library’s role in giving power to people through education and opportunity.
 
Saturday, October 14 the PHPL hosts the annual Boerne Book & Arts Fest from 10am-4pm. There will be author & artist panel discussions in our Community Room and entertainment on the Amphitheater Stage throughout the day. Shop the book vendors, art vendors and the culinary arts. Check out the interactive events at this FREE festival!
National Night Out on Tuesday, October 3 - join your neighbors in this national crime prevention initiative. Getting to know your neighbors and looking out for each other is one of the best forms of neighborhood security!
National Fire Prevention Week is
October 8-14. Area fire departments will be hosting public education events especially focused on educating children about fire prevention and what to do in case there is a fire.
Boerne Utilities Brush Collection Rules
City crews pick up residential brush trimmings from Boerne Utilities Customers who make a request. Every customer gets 1 yearly pick-up included in their utility payment; additional pick-ups in a 12 month period cost an extra $25 each.

Do you know who to call for vehicle registration information? That would be the Kendall County Courthouse at 830-249-9343. 

Do you know who to call for driver's license information? That would be Texas Department of Motor Vehicles; the number to the Boerne location is 830-249-6335.
Peppers for Paws - Pet adoption and chili cook off
The City's Animal Care Services has once again partnered with the Hill Country Animal League for this fun community event. Proceeds will fund the cost of spay/neuter services for abandoned pets.

Boerne City Council
  YOUR BOERNE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE HELD THE 2ND AND 4TH TUESDAYS OF EACH MONTH BEGINNING AT 6PM. MEETINGS ARE CURRENTLY HELD AT THE MUNICIPAL COURTROOM, 124 OLD SAN ANTONIO RD, UNTIL OUR NEW CITY HALL IS COMPLETED.
