Health Tip
For healthy teeth, don't brush after eating
Don't brush your teeth immediately after meals and drinks, especially if they were acidic. Acidic foods-citrus fruits, sports drinks, tomatoes, soda (both diet and regular)-can soften tooth enamel "like wet sandstone," says Howard R. Gamble, immediate past president of the Academy of General Dentistry. Brushing your teeth at this stage can speed up acid's effect on your enamel and erode the layer underneath. Gamble suggests waiting 30 to 60 minutes before brushing.

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to our August
newsletter!
This month, we'll be sharing information about why you need a "to-done" list and what habits happy and healthy people adopt.
Sincerely,
Tri-Rehab
Why You Need A To-Done List
Nothing feels quite as good as getting something done. The moment you check off a task on your to-do list, you feel that little surge of self-esteem: You had to do a thing, you did it, now it's done. Next!
It's not just about efficiency, however. Every time you make progress, you're also communicating a message to yourself and others: I'm capable. I'm productive. I can do this. And that goes a long way to building not only a sense of self worth, but a sense of self-efficacy (the belief that you are capable of solving a task or problem), resilience, and even purpose.
All Extremely Happy and Healthy People Use These Habits
Feeling sluggish? Check your diet! If you're consuming mostly processed foods full of sugar, or if you're skipping major meals like breakfast in an attempt to lose weight, you've found your culprit.
"You should always have a balanced breakfast that will provide you with energy and promote stable blood sugar levels," says Alyssa Cohen, a registered dietitian and food blogger.
