October 19-25, 2014

Although stewardship is promoted throughout the year at Holy Sacrament, the month of October is usually called Stewardship Campaign or Stewardship Drive Month. It is a time in which we seek to promote the need to be good stewards of the time, talent and financial resources which God has given us and our need to give back to Almighty God.
Our Stewardship Committee, ably chaired by Debbie Stevens, has been diligently preparing for our Campaign, sending letters, pledge cards, and Time and Talent Survey sheets to members of the congregation. For this work, the members of the Committee are to be commended. We will also be showcasing our ministries for the next two Sundays (October 19 and 26), called Ministry Education Sundays.
As we celebrate Stewardship Month at Holy Sacrament, I want to share with you an article, written by two members of our Stewardship Committee, Diana Golden and Shevon Nelson. This article forms part of the quarterly newsletter of the Stewardship Committee which will be distributed this Sunday, October 19. It captures the essence of our responsibility as God's stewards here on earth. My hope is that as we discern and prayerfully consider how to give to God what is God's, we will have a successful Stewardship Campaign.

Blessings!

Father Tony
