St. Anne and the Future - Our Annual Meeting
Pictured above is Archbishop Dmitri of blessed memory entering St. Anne in December, 2002 when we were located at the Oak Ridge Mall. We had recently purchased our present building and were in the early stages of its renovation. Vladyka would have moved our Sunday services then and there until I explained that we need a certificate of occupancy. He was always deeply excited by growth and parishes taking new steps in their mission to the world.
He visited again in 2005 and gave great encouragement to the parish. That same year we purchased the adjoining lot with his blessing for the purpose of expansion. Twelve years later that expansion is ready for consideration by the parish as a whole.
The Church Expansion Investigation Team has completed its final report and will presenting it to the Annual Meeting this Sunday. It represents a year's worth of work and discussion on our building needs and offers a preliminary proposal for the future. The Annual Meeting will be voting on the acceptance of the report as well as authorizing our next steps.
We will also vote on the 2017 proposed budget and elect new members for Council.
The members who will be serving the second year in their term are:
- Mary Ann Favazza, Carl Bruner and Ben Prothro.
The four persons nominated for a two-year term are:
- Adam Davis, Adrienne Pyle, Niko Pantanizopoulos, and Craig Morfas.
The meeting will take place after Coffee Hour. Sunday School is cancelled for the day. Your presence is needed - a quorum of 50% is required for voting actions.
Materials for the meeting will be emailed later this week.
