Future of the Affordable Care Act
Dr. Jonathan Oberlander , professor and chair of Social Medicine and professor of Health Policy & Management at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, led an important talk with our Fellows addressing the uncertainly surrounding the Affordable Care Act during our Professional Development Meeting on January 21, 2017. The event is in partnership with the Jim Bernstein Fellows when the two leadership programs come together to share the valuable work both are doing in communities across the state and to discuss relevant health care topics.
Fellows Spotlight

Through their yearlong project, Schweitzer Fellows Anna Kahkoska and Nick Brazeau have made a measurable impact helping diabetic patients live healthier lives. The Fellows said, “We are grateful for the opportunity to hear new patient narratives every month and learn how they change over time to remind us that barriers to care are complex and dynamic for many patients.”  They have found peer support makes all the difference.

Celebration of Service
