Dive the Great Barrier Reef, experience world class live-aboard diving at Cod Hole, Osprey Reef, Coral Sea and Ribbons Reefs with Scuba Centers and the world renowned vessel the "Spirit of Freedom! Eleven days with options up to 21 days,
Stay in Cairns for one night before you board the diving vessel the next morning (Monday). After disembarking from the dive vessel stay in Cairns for one more night. Your arrival day back into the USA will be on Tuesday morning.
Australia's north eastern town of tropical Cairns is the gateway for two of the world's greatest diving icons, the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea. It is also the base for the awesome Spirit of Freedom 120 foot liveaboard dive boat
The dive vessel departs Cairns 12:00 noon Monday and returns 07:00 am the following Monday. You will be transferred to and from your accommodation.
Cairns the colorful, sophisticated capital of the tropical north is alive with life and charm. Experience the majesty of this underwater playground which is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and is known as the Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.  SCOUT GROUPS OR ANYONE THAT WANTS TO TRY SCUBA, CHECK THIS OUT: | |
"Try Scuba" at Scuba Centers of Michigan is an overview to diving that allows non-divers to experience diving in our 82 degree pool, under the direct supervision of a dive leader, with minimal amount of instruction and classroom time.
Knowledge: The academic session focuses on the immediate needs of divers such as equipment adjustment, equalizing pressure, breathing, moving through the water and orientation. This is approximately 30 minutes in the classroom.
Skills: So you can start diving as soon as possible, you'll practice a reduced skill set with one of our Professional Scuba Instructors in a pool water session. The only thing we don't provide is a swimsuit and towel. Some swimming skills are required. Everything we ask you to do is done in the shallow end first (3 feet). If you don't like something, simply stand up! This is approximately 2 hours in the pool.
Cost: Private class within 48 hours any time, any date: $75 each or with 6 or more persons (group course) $50, which is FULLY REFUNDABLE when applied to certification class (within 30 days). Ask us about our "Try Scuba" program for scouts!
Equipment. With the goal of developing a working knowledge of scuba equipment, divers will receive an introduction to basic scuba equipment with an emphasis on equipment handling. We provide everything except swimsuit and a towel.
