Winter Shelter Opening!
St.Peter's & Parish Center
Winter Shelter Plan
First Night Open: Monday, December 18

This year the Winter Shelter will once again be housed at St. Peter's Parish Center on North State Street. BUT, WE CONTINUE BUILDING A NEW SHELTER FOR THE FUTURE!!
For the first time, CCEH will own the shelter. We are contracting with Thrive Outdoors to run it and Thrive will manage it with the same team as the past two years, starring Jake King and Arolyn Chappell. There will be paid overnight managers, and lots of volunteers, who are the lifeblood of our winter shelter in Concord, and without whom it would not exist.
Sign up HERE to volunteer at the Winter Shelter

KEEP IT GOING - DONATE IN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON TO GET THE SHELTER BUILT!
Construction and Fundraising Update:
The foundation is poured, and donations are rising!

It took a lot of dirt, removed and replaced, but finally we have a foundation and work continues. We also removed a wall that was covering a large window at the Resource Center, so the guests can watch construction out back!  More Photos Here!

Over $395,000 has been raised towards our Individual Donations goal of $528,000!!!  Thank you so much to all who have donated so far. If you have not donated and wish to do so, GO HERE!

New Board Members
Benjamin B. Folsom is an attorney with McLane Middleton, PA in Manchester and has recently moved to Hopkinton from the midwest. Ben has a deep concern for the most vulnerable in our community and has already joined our communications team, helping us to become better at getting the word out on a variety of media.

Gregory Lessard comes to us from the Concord
Food Co-op. He has both experience and degrees in marketing, finance and community economic development. Greg and the Co-op have been partners with CCEH for the Soup portion of SouperFest, and for all of our SouperFest marketing and promotion the past 2 years. He is a great addition to the board!

Homeless Memorial Day Vigil
      December 21 - 4pm - State House Plaza

Remember those who have died homeless, or as a result of homelessness. Join the American Friends Service Committee and CCEH in a vigil with singing and words of remembrance.

This is always a special moment on the Winter Solstice.
Holiday Shopping?
While you get your shopping mojo on, remember two things:
A. Shop your local merchants as much as possible, they are who make downtown Concord a great place to be!
B. If you must purchase something on line, you can go to Amazon and choose Amazon Smile, then choose Concord Coalition to End Homelessness - a small percentage of your purchase will go to CCEH!! Every little bit helps!
to our campaign today!
