  LifeSavor Returns to
The Langham, Boston
on May 8, 2014!

Community Servings

is incredibly excited to announce that our

22nd annual spring gala, LifeSavor will be hosted by The Langham, Boston on Thursday, May 8, 2014.

The Langham, Boston has sponsored LifeSavor for 20 years, which played a crucial role in raising over $6 million to support our food and nutrition programs and we're delighted to be returning to the hotel in 2014! Our guests rave about their lavish cocktail party and renowned chocolate bar. Mark your calendars now to be sure you don't miss "Boston's Best Dinner Party with a Conscience."

Delivering Meals, Delivering Hope for
the Holidays

Every Thanksgiving, our chefs prepare special holiday meals for our clients.
This year, over 60 volunteer vehicles hit the road the day before Thanksgiving to deliver oven roasted turkey, green been casserole, pumpkin pie and more to 850 homebound individuals. That includes 1,780 lbs of turkey, 375 lbs of green beans and 1,100 lbs of sweet potato!

We've received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our clients -

"My Thanksgiving meal was very tasty and awesome! You all made my holiday as pleasant as it could be! It's so nice to know that people are so caring and generous."

This year we've also expanded our special diets menu to include delicious, medically appropriate options like garlic roasted cauliflower, savory wild rice pilaf,  and no-sugar-added apple pie.

For our clients and families struggling with the stress of a critical illness, a visit from a volunteer bearing a home-style meal and a smile reminds them of what the holidays are all about. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible!

There is still time to join in supporting our clients this

Nutrition Tip

Frozen fruits and vegetables
get a bad rap and with winter months approaching, access to nutritious produce can be limited. This article explains why a frozen produce alternative is not only convenient but can be more healthful than fresh fruits
and vegetables.
