Calling all mustache growers!

tom sellek
All right, men, it's time to help a great cause by lending us your upper lip for the month of February. For our fourth annual Sponsor My 'Stache mustache growing fundraiser, we are asking all you guys to start off clean shaven on February 1st and grow, grow, grow while soliciting donations from your friends, family and coworkers to benefit our food and nutrition program. Then, to celebrate all things mustachioed, join us at the Mustachio Bashio party for complimentary cocktails, lite bites and mustachioed festivities. Sign-up to grow a 'Stache today and spread the word!

A Heartfelt Holiday Thank You
from our Clients

Thanksgiving Food
Thanks to hundreds of generous volunteers, our clients' holidays included thoughtful gifts and a festive meal.

In addition to the commotion in the kitchen, we fulfilled and delivered our clients' holiday wishlists which brought warm clothes, basic necessities and holiday treats to those who need it most. One referral partner said: "our patient was just raving to her nurse about her recent drop-off. In addition to the food, the patient was completely thrilled that she received thoughtful gifts from Community Servings. The patient was delighted that the staff had actually asked her such things as "what is your favorite color" and then responded accordingly. She said that it was the first time in many years that someone had actually asked her what she wanted.....and then delivered!

Our amazing kitchen staff, and 50 daily volunteers built a total of 891 bags for our critically ill neighbors to enjoy over the holidays. This included 543 lbs of Cornish hens, 435 lbs of wild rice and cornbread stuffing, 540 lbs of roasted butternut squash, carrots and cauliflower!

Community Servings is deeply grateful to each and every volunteer who called clients for their holiday wish lists, organized toy drives, purchased items for our clients' gift baskets, prepared and packaged meals and sorted holiday baskets and delivered holiday meals and baskets to our clients. Your time, energy and dedication are an inspiration!
