Shloshim Tanakh Study for Rabbi Michael Hecht ( z"l )
Sunday, February 12 * Time TBD * BJC

Please join us in a special shloshim study in memory and honor of our beloved teacher and spiritual guide, Rabbi Michael Hecht(z"l). Rabbi Hecht's favorite texts to teach were the stories in Nevi-im Rishonim, the former prophets. We will each study different sections of these texts - in Hebrew or English, with or without commentary, so that collectively we will have completed studying all of this section of the Tanakh. Those who feel more ambitious may also choose to sign up to study all of the former prophets rather than just one section. The choice is yours.

Please sign up for a section of prophets (sections range from 7 to 11 chapters in length). Please look for a section not yet taken first. Once all sections are taken, feel free to choose to be an additional learner for a section already taken. (Those doing all of former prophets can sign up alongside others from the beginning. You will see that choice at the end). You may sign up and study with us whether or not you are able to attend the shloshim gathering.

We ask that you complete your reading/learning by Sunday, February 12. We will gather on that afternoon to share in a siyyum marking the completion of our studies. At that gathering, we will do a little concluding study, share reflections on Rabbi Hecht and join in prayer.

Thanks for helping us honor Rabbi Hecht in a way that we know would be most meaningful to him! May his memory always be for a blessing
