A song-filled, participatory lay-led minyan that welcomes experienced davenners and those newer to prayer who are looking for a more intimate service. Opportunities are available to lead services, Torah discussions and chant Torah; if interested, please contact Rabbi Hal Rudin-Luria. Open Tent minyan meets the first Shabbat of every month.

Men's Club 2014-2015 Pro Football Pool Fundraiser
How to join the pool:
1. Submit $50 per entry for Men's Club members and $60 for non-members.
2. Make checks payable to B'nai Jeshurun Men's Club and send to the synagogue office before the first NFL Sunday game. This year's deadline is 5:00 pm on Friday, September 5.
How to play:
1. Select one regular season Sunday game per week, per entry.
2. If your team wins, you move on and select a winning team for the next Sunday.
3. You MUST select a NEW team each week. Selecting a team that wins eliminates you from selecting that team again.

The Courtyard, featuring numerous gathering spaces, tranquil gardens, a sculptural fountain, an outdoor chapel and a sheltering canopy, exemplifies our congregation's commitment to welcoming all who wish to worship, learn, and gather. Start the day visiting the new Holocaust Memorial at the State Capitol in Columbus and then stop at The Ohio State University. After lunch, we'll visit an Indian Mound, the Warther Museum and then play miniature golf at a very unique course. There will be more stops as we continue our planning.

My Iran: Memories, Mysteries & Myths with Isaac Yomtovian during the Shabbat morning service, September 13
Isaac will speak about his childhood and memories as a Jew growing up in Iran. Born in Tehran, Isaac can trace his roots back 2,500 years. In 1966, he immigrated to Israel, volunteered in the 1967 War and attended the Technion, where he obtained a BS in Civil Engineering, an MS in Water Resources, and an EMBA. The Jacobson Library now has "The Heist" by Daniel Silva available in large print for visually impaired readers. Remember the library is open during the religious school year on Tuesdays from 1-6 pm, Thursday from 2-6 pm and on Saturday and Sunday morning.
The deadline for submissions for the Sisterhood Yizkor book is Wednesday, September 10. The cost to list a loved one is $18 per name. Please make checks out to B'nai Jeshurun Sisterhood and send them to the synagogue office.
