From the Founder

What a year 2012 has been! This was a pivotal year for Baal Dan and for me. I resigned from my job in advertising after 13 years to be able to spend more time on Baal Dan and focus on humanitarian/communications consulting. I just spent 5 weeks in Africa where I volunteered for World Vision International in Ethiopia, which was an amazing experience.

It has been an exciting year and one of great accomplishment and impact for the charity and that is all thanks to YOU - our team, board members, volunteers and donors. It is through your generosity that we have been able to impact the lives of so many children. In 2013, we have big plans and goals to expand Baal Dan to new countries and help even more children.

My warmest wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a very blessed New Year!

Grants Made in 2012

Baal Dan has audited over a hundred NGO's, charities, and grassroots projects all over India. Our extensive searches, rigorous selection criteria and ongoing due diligence had led us to fund a selection of outstanding and diverse grantees who work tirelessly to improve the lives of some of the world's poorest children. Each year, we select grantees using a number of criteria and each year we decide as a team and in collaboration with our Grantee partner how best to maximize the funds that we give.
Here is a list of the grants we are making in 2012/2013.
