Join us to cut the ribbon and celebrate the grand opening of Express Saving Discount Store, Inc.  This is the second business for Shue Chen, owner of Tomo Asian Bistro.  The store will offer items like school supplies, snacks, hardware, seasonal merchandise, and more.
 
During the grand opening, all customers will receive a complimentary gift and shoppers that spend more than $15 will get an additional gift.  Store hours after the grand opening will be 9am-9pm Daily.

Saratoga Clay Arts Center is holding their 6th Annual Chili Bowl Fundraiser on Saturday, January 28 from 11am-4pm. Jill Fishon-Kovachick has created a special, limited edition "PINK bowl" for To Life! Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the center, To Life! and the Wilton Food Pantry. Congo 5.5% abv will be on tap from  10am-2pm at The Real McCoy Beer CoA Northern English Brown brewed with New York State Pale Malt, some English Brown Malt, Crystal and Chocolate Malt, the addition of Barkeater Coffee Roasters D.R.Congo Coffee added in the secondary adds some great aroma and a subtle coffee flavor.

The Cheese Traveler has launched Alpine Night,  a Friday night pop-up event featuring items centered around raclette, a deliciously smooth and decadent melted alpine cheese. Items like Swiss Nachos (melted raclette over pickle-brined potato chips, local ham, and cornichons) and a build-your-own raclette plate with charcuterie choices will be included on the menu.  Alpine Night will run Fridays starting January 20 through March (excluding First Fridays) at the Cheese Traveler, 5-9pm.  A full selection of wines by the glass and craft beers will round out the night.

Bethlehem Opportunity Unlimited's
(BOU) 5th Annual Community Spelling Bee will be Thursday, March 2Help make it a success! This once-a-year fundraiser helps provide grants to student activities such as:  Girls Night Out BCHS,  Custome Ball BCMS,  Bethlehem Youth Court,  Senior Celebration,  Survivor Day and  After School program for Special Needs Students.  Funds raised also allow BOU to host the Annual Talking with your Teens forum and Life After BC discussion. Join my staff and I for our Annual Open House.  I look forward to this event every year and hope we'll be able to welcome you into what is both our Legislative and District Office. You will also have the opportunity to see our most recent art exhibits by local artists, Nina Stanley and Ginnie Farrell.

Friday, January 27, from 8:30am-10:00am, Room 452 in the Legislative Office Building (LOB) in Albany, located in the building's west side. Enter through either the street entrance of the State Capitol (State St or Washington Ave or through the Empire State Plaza Concourse (Capitol/LOB entrance). After 9am, you can also enter directly to the LOB through the LOB State Street entrance. On-street meter parking and Concourse visitor parking are certain to be available. An RSVP is not required, but feel free to register via Facebook.




The Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau Fund was established to support Albany County's hospitality industry by funding programs that will help build and sustain Albany County tourism destinations, attractions and events and bring more visitors to the County. The grant range is between $1,000 and $5,000. The grant application is due on September 14, 2017.
