Be the player who "makes it happen" and join us as we network with the Colonie Chamber while cheering on the Tri-City ValleyCats! Make valuable connections in this relaxed setting while you enjoy baseball over lunch. Weather worries? No worries at all - guests will enjoy all the amenities of the climate-controlled Diamond Club, complete with a balcony view.
 
Space is limited. This event is open to members and non-members of the Bethlehem and Colonie Chambers. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. $20 per ticket, includes lunch.

Dinner and Raffle
Save the date for an afternoon of golf and an evening of networking!  The day includes lunch in the banquet room, 18 holes of golf (with cart), use of practice facilities and locker rooms, bag drop service and dinner.  There will be fun contests and a raffle to benefit two local non-profit organizations.

All are welcome, Members and Non-Members - register with a friend, relative, or co-worker.  Soft spikes and appropriate attire are required.  Registration will open in July - stay tuned!

for a fantastic one-of-a-kind family event featuring 
guided hikes at Indian Ladder Farms and MHLC's Bozen Kill Preserve, a special kids hike, 
and a wheelchair accessible hike on the newly paved Albany County Helderberg Hudson Rail Trail; 
dancers, artists, musicians, and crafts; 
hay rides, pony rides, face painting, baby animals; 
food, desserts, and tastings from the new brewery; 
and so much more!

The Jonathan Carey Foundation is doing a Civil Rights Walk for the Disabled.  They are seeking sponsorship and personal donations to fund the walk. It will begin  on Monday, July 25  at the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs in Delmar and will end August 5 at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. The purpose is to bring attention to the fact that in NYS,  when individuals with disabilities who reside in residential facilities or group homes are physically/sexually assaulted, or die a suspicious death due to abuse and neglect, in most cases, 911 is not called. NYS law directs all State and private providers to call the Justice Center when mandated reporters witness crimes against the disabled - therefore, 911 is not dispatched  evidence is not collected, prosecution does not ensue, and the abuser continues to abuse. Please consider making a personal donation of $9.11 via their website, or sponsoring as a business.

On Monday, July 11, the Bethlehem Public Library Board of Trustees selected the following officers for 2016-17: Mary Redmond, president; Mark Kissinger, vice president; Brian Sweeney, treasurer; Harmeet Narang, assistant treasurer; and Joyce Becker, secretary. Lisa Scoons will continue to serve on the Upper Hudson Library System board. At the same meeting, newly elected trustee Paula Rice was sworn in. Her seat holds a five-year term.
