To Life! will present an educational forum on Breast Cancer at Saratoga National Golf Club in Saratoga Springs on August 3.  COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS

The 41st Annual Selkirk Fire Co. 2 Flea Market will be held on July 30 from 8am-5pm.  Over 100 vendors will be present, and the cookshed will be open for breakfast and lunch.  If you are interested in being a vendor call 518.436.1601 or send an email. 301 Glenmont Road, Glenmont, next to the Town Squire Plaza.

The  Bethlehem Police Department Family Services Unit will take part in the upcoming
 National Night Out on August 2. The FREE event is open to all and will be held at the Elm Avenue Park from 7-9pm.  National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.  The event will include free admission to the Town Park Pool Complex, crime prevention and personal safety information, bounce house, fire/EMS truck displays, and an inflatable obstacle course. The Cedar Hill Schoolhouse Museum, home of the Bethlehem Historical Association, is open on Sundays from 2-4pm through August 28.  All are cordially invited to visit the museum which currently features Parade of Fashion 1860s - 1960s, a wonderful display of clothing and accessories for men, women and children. Up to $750 Million in State Resources Available  to Support  Economic and Community Development Projects Statewide
 
Deadline to Submit Consolidated Funding Applications is Friday, July 29 at 4pm

Earlier this week, Empire State Development President, CEO & Commissioner Howard Zemsky reminded potential applicants of the Friday, July 29 deadline to submit a Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) for Round VI of the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) initiative. The CFA application period, which opened to applicants on May 2, enables businesses, municipalities, not-for-profits and the public to apply for assistance for job-creation and community development projects from up to $750 million in state resources, available through a single application.  For applicants, the CFA and application manual are available here.   2016 REDC Guidebook and list of available resources can be found here.  Click here for the full press release.


FuzeHub Named Statewide Manufacturing Extension Program Center
FuzeHub, a not-for-profit organization responsible for growing small to medium manufacturing companies (SMEs) in New York State by matching them with technical and business resources, has been designated by Empire State Development (ESD) as the Statewide Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center, a new entity that complements New York's robust network of 10 regional MEP centers that provide hands-on services to companies in every corner of the state. FuzeHub will be the first MEP Center to have a footprint that spans the entire state. Funding for this award is $2.4 million per year for five years.  Click HERE for the full press release.
