We had great fun last week with our "Spot the Typo" contest. The winner of the lovely orchid was Karen Mann! We even had a bonus typo that many of you spotted in this newsletter -- I said Easter was on April 3! And it is in fact on April 8. Thanks for being such good proofreaders! Yes, you can grow roses in Houston. In the past several years the folks at Texas A&M have selected roses that they have designated as "Earth Kind". This award is determined through extensive research and field trials and includes only those roses demonstrating superior pest tolerance, combined with outstanding landscape performance.
