Dear Gardeners, It looks like another lovely weekend coming up. We are excited to have Heidi Sheesley coming to speak on Saturday about trees, including fruit trees. If weather and audio visual set-up permits, we will hold the event outside in our new Outdoor Classroom. We are adding a roof -- it's scheduled to be installed tomorrow (a carport, actually) -- so not only will the acoustics be better, the sun will not be in your face! Yay! RSVP here. We frequently mention herbs and veggies. That's because it is such a big part of why people come to Buchanan's. And this time of year, especially with the weather we are having, people want to get a jump on the season. We have tomatoes! Not all varieties yet, but more are coming. If you're not ready to plant that's totally OK and there's plenty of time. If you are itching to plant we are trying to have the best available here for you. Check here for availabilities. Our annual Tomato Time with the Gunters is slated for Saturday, Feb. 4, starting at 9am. The Gunters are growers of heirloom tomato and vegetable plants, and they will be bringing their first shipment for that day. Always an exciting event -- for tomato lovers! Fruit trees -- if you missed the Urban Harvest Fruit Tree Sale last week, worry not! We have many of the same varieties in stock. Check here to see our updated plant lists. The Bungalow is all prepped for the Big V-Day! Rodney and crew have been working hard rearranging all the areas and everything looks fabulous! Go in and take a look -- or see the most recent photos here. Get outside and get your hands dirty! Happy gardening, Donna Events Calendar - future lectures and workshops for January and February. Now accepting applications for spring -- full- and part-time positions. We offer flexible schedules, benefits, a fast-paced environment and lots of fun! |
