This school year, Clear Creek ISD had more than 360 new teachers join our growing list of talented staff. Each with varied background and experience, but all who embody the CCISD spirit and core values. We thought we would introduce a few of them below:
|
Allison Etzel
2nd Grade Teacher, Hyde Elementary
Clear Creek ISD graduate Allison Etzel gives new meaning to the phrase "coming full-circle." She began her first year of teaching this year in the same classroom, Room 322, that she was taught in as a second grade student almost 16 years ago! If that wasn't exciting enough for this passionate new teacher, she also has the comfort of embarking on this new journey alongside her mom, Amy, who also teaches at Hyde.

Zane Bora
7th Grade Texas H
isto
ry Teacher
Clear Creek Intermediate
When you have the initials of three CCISD teachers engraved in your college ring, it is clear where your passion stems! Zane Bora, 22, has added a long list of professional achievements to his resume ever since graduating from Clear Creek High School in 2012, including graduating Magna Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University, but having the opportunity to return to the District he has always called home to teach is at the top of that list. His passion for education was first sparked by a talented educator at League City Intermediate, Janet Hawes. His desire to teach grew when he earned the Alpha Delta Kappa future educator scholarship through the Teaching Education Training program at CCHS, in which he is still the only male to do so to this day. Zane will now return to the school he completed his student teaching at in college for his first year of teaching, and dedicates his success and passion for education to his many mentors in CCISD and his devoted family.

Edward (Jaycob) Freeman
Social Studies Teacher & Assistant Offensive Line Football Coach
Clear Springs High School
Along with his new titles of teacher and coach, Jaycob also has a special opportunity to add-in that fact that he is the first Clear Springs High School graduate to be hired on to teach there after college! He is part of the class of 2011, which was the first four-year class to graduate from CSHS since opening in 2007. Jaycob has always felt a calling to become a coach and teacher for as long as he can remember, and hopes his passion for supporting and guiding students to become better learners and better people will be a positive influence to the staff who taught him not so long ago.
