Fiber Fest 2014: A Celebration of the Fiber Arts

August 7th, 8th & 9th

Downtown Denton

The Fiber Arts Center of the Eastern Shore is hosting a three-day celebration of the fiber arts featuring exhibits, workshops, classes, guest speakers and demonstrations. This year's event also features the Heartland Quilter's Annual Shop Hop - a marketplace full of fiber arts vendors - on Thursday, August 7th. Cruise back to the 50's with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John at one of these special showings of Grease. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the show! The Caroline-Dorchester County Fair

August 6th - August 9th

Caroline County 4-H Park, Detour Road, Denton

This fair offers fun for the whole family, including the Dress a Goat Contest, the Greased Pig Contest, amusement rides, pet shows, live entertainment, food, and much more! Heels for Hospice

Support the Caroline Hospice Foundation at Heels for Hospice! The event will feature the "Missed Choptank Contest," where ten contestants will vie for crown, as well as food, a cash bar and a raffle. Tubing on the Choptank

Launch from Choptank River Yacht Club

Join the fun and come float or boat with us at Tubing on the Choptank to benefit the Caroline Foundation for Mental Health! Launch from the Choptank River Yacht Club in West Denton and end your river cruise at Martinak State Park with a cookout & dessert. Those who are feeling creative are encouraged to don any type of crazy hat or headgear. Guided Canoe Trip up Tuckahoe Creek

Open Mill Days at the Linchester Mill
