ALTAR GUILD TEA--SEPTEMBER 23, 2017
It's a TEA Party!

vintage_book_and_tea.jpgOn September 23, 2017, the Altar Guild will host their fifth annual tea.  The tea will be held in the church library from two until three pm. Everyone is invited to join the women from CEC's Altar Guild for a cup of hot tea, light refreshments, and fun.  This year we especially look forward to hosting our children from Kids Kingdom. At the tea Mandy Moore and Brielle Giard will have an opportunity to talk with us about volunteering in Kids Kingdom.

R.S.V.P. would be appreciated, if attending.

KIDS CHRISTIAN FORMATION
CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH KIDS NEWS

THANK YOU CEC KIDS! Christ Church has responded in so many ways to our neighbors impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and our children have been right in the mix.  We know many have donated items and have volunteered their time to help. They also made some very special cards for the children at St. Cuthbert's Episcopal Church in Houston.  Many of the families at St. Cuthbert's had damage to their homes and their community is in the process of healing and rebuilding.  We wanted those kids to know that we were thinking of them and keeping them in our prayers.  This week we received this note.

Chris t Church,

What a wonderful surprise and blessing to open this envelope from y'all.

You obviously have sweet children.  Please express our thanks to them.

It will take a long, long time to recover from Hurricane Harvey.  Your gift is a ray of hope, as well as an outward and visible sign of God's grace.  Our Senior Warden is going to show the beautiful gift to the Vestry Meeting tonight, then I'll distribute the items to our children on Sunday

There is a wideness to God's mercy.  The wideness of God's mercy extends from Cedar Park to Houston, and we're grateful.
Blessings,
Gail Jackins
Family Formation Coordinator

Please send the names of those for whom you wish to pray to   [email protected]  or complete one of the prayer cards in the pew and place in the prayer box as your exit or hand to one of the ushers. Please let us know if you require a call from either Fr. Trawin or Deacon Jan.

All requests are kept in strictest confidence and are only discussed within the ministry if clarification is needed.

ONLINE GIVING
Since many people conduct all or a large portion of their financial transactions online, we have implemented online giving to make it easier for you to give, whether it is a one-time or a recurring gift. This is a completely voluntary way to make contributions. We accept online offerings and donations using PayPal. It is the most widely used give-on-line service and we have confidence in its reliability, security, and safety. You do NOT need to have a PayPal account to make a financial offering.

Simply go to our website at
http://cectx.org/give/ and click on the corresponding "DONATE" button that reflects whether you wish to make a one-time donation or an automatic monthly donation.

If you are accustomed to placing your gifts in the offering plate during worship, you may wonder if an online gift will have the same spiritual significance. We believe it is the heart of the giver, not the method of giving, that makes our financial offerings a true act of worship. The Bible says that, "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Cor. 9:7).

Thank you for giving to Christ Episcopal Church. Your generosity means so much to us and is integral to the work that we do at Christ Church and in the surrounding communities. On behalf of the entire church family and staff, thank you again for your thoughtful giving.

Christ Episcopal Church is a 501(C)(3) religious organization. Your offering is tax-deductible.
