Homeless Awareness Sunday
Sunday, September 24
Holy Comforter welcomes Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington for Homeless Awareness Sunday on September 24 at all three Sunday services. The Reverend David Wolf, Executive Director of Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington and Larry Gooch, a successful participant of Samaritan Ministry's Next Steps program, will worship with us. The Adult Forum will also be dedicated to this topic while our Sunday School classes will participate in a mini information-gathering homeless walk-a-thon around our church's perimeter.

Samaritan Ministry is a Diocesan endorsed organization which helps the more than 11,000 people in the DC area who do not have a place to call home. 30,000 of these same people are unemployed. Samaritan Ministry empowers people to make positive life changes one step at a time.

To learn more, visit the Samaritan Ministry website HERE and read participant stories HERE. Questions? Contact Candace Dibblee, our parish representative for Samaritan Ministry.
