11am - 12:30pm       Game Outside of the Game

It's great to be on the court but there are many career options off of the court. This career symposium offers youth an opportunity to explore the types of jobs that exist in sports that are as important as actually playing. With the help of the National Basketball Development League's Dr. Janice Hillard, Director of Player Programs, Ben gets a chance to help youth see that the action and payoff isn't all on the court.

12pm - 6 pm              Community Fair

Everybody's coming together to celebrate and enjoy Ben's homecoming. There'll be music, health information and screenings, games and activities for the children, free giveaways and of course vendors. Bring the family out for some laughs and an all around wholesome good time.

7pm                          Ben Gordon Streetball All Star Game

                                 Mount Vernon High School Gym

Rutgers Park comes to Mount Vernon! Streetball - trash talk, informal rules and showboating are all a part of this game. Hard core playground ball at its best and Ben has assembled teams that will put on a showcase. The talent, yes talent, includes:

From the East - Aaron "the Problem" Williams, Kirk Williams, Geoff McDermott, Dexter Grey, Kevin Jones, Jabarie Hinds, Chris Lowe, Jason Stamper, Jomo Belfor

From the West - Mike Glover, Deshawn Mitchell, Curtis Kelly, Giovanni McLean, Dave "Super Dave" Seagers, Jarrid Famous, Nick Murphy, Rah-Rah Jenkins, Mike Wilson "Mousey," Chris Gaston

Will it be East or West that gets BGW bragging rights? Come out and see for yourself.
