Congratulations to the

2011 World Rowing Challenge Champions!  

 

This is the second year in a row for our team to obtain this title.  The World Rowing Challenge was held March 15 through April 15, 2011.  The Fitness Pointe Rowing Team had 232 participants and rowed 26,635,809 meters placing 1st overall in the competition.  Joe Arias, MacDaniel Adams, and Shailesh Bhatt rowed over 1 million meters each.

Judy Abbott rowed over 2 million meters and is the Champion Female Rower for 2011 (two years in a row).  There were 9 participants that rowed over 500,000 meters and 27 participants that rowed over 200,000 meters.  Great job team!  The winner of the rowing grand prize (Three Free Months Dues) is Evelyn Nelson.

Picnic Table Push-Ups and Dips

Recipe of the Month

Fiesta Salsa
 

Ingredients:
  • 2 Avocados, peeled, pitted and chopped
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, quartered or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup frozen corn, thawed
  • 2 (4oz) can chopped green chilies, drained
  • 1 bunch green onions (scallions) chopped
  • 3 Tbs Lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:

In a large bowl, carefully toss together the avocados, tomatoes, corn, green chilies, green onions, lime juice, sugar, salt & pepper 

 

Nutrition:

Calories: 67

Total Fat: 5 g

Protein: 1 g

Servings: 14 (1/4 cup servings)
