Greetings!

Did you receive something special for Valentine's Day? Lilian and I had a couple of secrets that we were keeping - and enjoyed a giggle or two at the expense of those on the receiving end! All we know is that it pays to make a wishlist and leave it prominently displayed... one happy lady received a Cuttlebug as an early gift and this afternoon brought in some show-and-tell because she'd already been playing! Another lady we all know is spending Valentine with her sweetie and family at Disney, how cool/warm is that!

Now, what's the next big event ... St. Patrick's Day??

Stamping on Alternate Mediums

Stamping isn't just for paper! Come play with us and see what else we've been stamping on lately. There are only four spaces left in this class, and today is Tuesday that's when the places go quickly, so run to your phone or email us with your info!

Add some dimension and layering to your cards simply by masking off your work rather than adding layers of paper.

Lilian hinted last week that we were working on a craft for a group of 30 children - visit the blog to see this extra special project created by an extra special crafter! We would suggest that it might be a good habit to start checking our blog regularly and join our fourteen followers ... there just might be a blog challenge coming soon!

	*Cardmaking Prince Lewis* You already know that there are three young crafters in our family. It would seem that this creative talent also extends overseas to our family there! Below is my Aunt's grandson - cardmaking prince of the British magazine Cardmaking and Paper Craft. Congratulations Lewis! And well, done Aunty Christine - you're obviously a great teacher!

And, if you need a little extra help you can drop into the store, join us for a midnight crop or see the cards close up on our Flickr site.

Spring Card Making Day

We sure hope that spring will be here in time for our Card Making Day - but either way you'll go home with a spring in your step and some newly completed cards!

Join us to complete 10 to 12 quick and easy cards that you can either use or add to your reference library as samples for your next birthday, anniversary or just because event. All paper supplies are included in your class fee but you will be required to bring your basic tool kit and lots of enthusiasm.

Saturday March 26th

10am to 3pm

Cost: $40 (plus tax)

Venue: Nipissing University

There are only 20 spaces available so move quickly or you may miss out!

Call or drop in to register - payment required at time of registration.

Crop 'n Craft 'til Midnight

Join us for an evening of crafting; scrapbooking, paper crafting, jewelry making, a missed class, unfinished projects, or something you've seen on display in the store!

We offer a small project each night including either a scrapbook layout or some cards ... and the best part ... there is no additional cost!

Arrive at 7pm and leave early or join us later on and head home at midnight.

Silhouette Education

Have you used your Silhouette machine lately? The Silhouette company is amazing - not only does the machine do all that you can imagine but they keep you up-to-date with all the additions and "tweeks" they make to the software. If you haven't used your machine lately then open up your software to receive the latest update. Simply click "go to download page", then choose either Mac or Windows. Follow the prompts and the software will do the rest!

This week's update may well help to solve an issue one of customers has been experiencing. Once you've completed your update look to the top right corner of the screen and click "page options". This is where you can resize your workspace but you will also notice a new tool - "Reveal Carrier Sheet". This sliding bar will allow you to make your workspace more transparent thereby making the grid lines on the carrier sheet below more visible. This should make the placement of even the smallest piece of paper more accurate!

Lilian, with some help from me, is non stop planning for your upcoming card classes, crop nights and our card making day. Just to add a little more pressure we are now in the final stages of preparations for our upcoming Spring Mega Crop Weekend! We can't tell you when the big registration day will be but I'd keeping watching my newsletter each week or the blog because registration will begin soon! :) In the meantime, clear your calendar for the weekend of April 15th to 17th!
