TUNING IN:
So much to tell you, Team!
SCHEDULE CHANGES
Please be aware of schedule changes taking place the first week of 2012. Of note, the Monday 5:30am class is cancelled and the Thursday 5:30am class has been moved back to 5:45am based on client feedback. Also, we have added a Tuesday Noon-time class, a Wednesday 4:45pm class and f inally, we are moving Matt Field's Thursday 7:00pm class to Thursday at Noon, all based on client feedback. You may also reference this printable PDF of the Class Schedule.
SENIORS CLASS BEGINNING WED., JAN. 18 at 2:30
Geared for active older adults, Cycledelic Seniors will feature 25-30 minutes of riding time, 15-20 minutes of warm-up, cool-down and stretching, and dedicated time to socialize in Cycledelic's lounge after class. Instructor Ursula Burke will be leading this lower intensity class, bringing her warm personality and upbeat profiles offering lots of musical variety but without any rap or hip-hop, we promise! We are open to adding additional Cycledelic Seniors classes if this one is a success. I invite you to join me in welcoming new (to Cycledelic) instructor Ursula Burke to the Cycledelic Team! Ursula will also be teaching the Tuesday Noon-Time class.
HIRING
Are you or do you know an outdoor rider who has daytime and/or weekend availability and might be interested in working at Cycledelic as an instructor? If so, fill out this form. We'll be bringing the Stages Indoor Cycling folks back to certify new instructors in a couple of months, but in order to work at Cycledelic, applicants must be outdoor riders.
UPCOMING VIRTUAL RIDES
For those asking about virtual rides, Matt's up on Sunday, January 8th at 5:00pm with his presentation of the Pittsburgh Dirty Dozen Virtual Ride. (Don't wait much longer to register- it's over 1/2 full already). We also have Angels up on February 19th, Battleground, on March 25th, and Hell Hath No Fury on April 15th, with more in process of being posted. Remember, virtual rides in regular classes are the exception, not the rule, and at the sole discretion of each individual instructor. We expect to add more virtual rides and special guest instructor classes to our Events Tab very soon.
Clients have 24 hours ahead of an event (1 hour ahead of a regular class) to cancel and receive a refund; cancellations inside the 24 hour window will not be refunded as is stated on our website. As is the case with regular classes, no-shows will not be refunded. Ride cards and First Ride Free do not apply to anything listed on our Events tab.
CYCLE FOR HOPE
It is with great excitement that I tell you that Cycledelic will be hosting Cycle For Hope on Saturday, February 4th from 8:00am - 2:00pm. Registered riders ride as much or as little of the 6 hours as they'd like. The cost? Pledges of $20/hour with proceeds benefiting Galisano Children's Hospital and Camp Good Days. Pledge and registration forms along with further information can be found by clicking the Cycle for Hope link above.
WINTER TRAINING
Winter Training will be held on Sunday, Feb. 5th at 11:00am instead of Saturday, Feb. 4th in order to accommodate Cycle for Hope. So far we only have TWO people registered for winter training. To say there's plenty of room left could be the understatement of the year. Anyone wanting structured, periodized training towards an event in the on-season should be considering this program. Keep in mind that it includes three months of unlimited access to Cycledelic's regular classes.

GROOVY MUSINGS:
On Friday, February 10th from 7:00 - 8:00pm, instructor Mia Bink and "Club Cycledelic" present Sinfully Cycledelic, an alternative evening for those looking for something a bit more daring and unconventional just in time for Valentine's Day. Bringing her own sexy and saucy Valentine's playlist (don't worry- nothing too over-the-top), her raucous persona and a little bit of leather, Mia will lead a ride while Goddess Hour Dance & Fitness instructor, pole dancer and aerial artist Annie Tobiasz Briggs mesmerizes us with a live performance on the pole. (Not to be confused with stripping, aerial arts is a highly athletic and artistic form of expression, done clothed). Door prizes will be awarded for those daring to dress in the spirit of the evening (keep in mind you still need to be comfortable and safe on the bike). $20 for those 18 and over. Cocktails on your own dime following the event at Otter Lodge for those 21 and over.
