Special Delivery! Diaper Relief !

Children who have a developmental delay or disability, who are at least 3 years old and who are covered by the Oregon Health Plan may be eligible to have diapers purchased by OHP. A prescription from the doctor is required. Other insurance plans may or may not cover diapers; therefore, if your child is covered by a different insurance company, you should contact your specific insurance carrier to verify that this benefit is available.

Step by step guide:

  1. Verify that your child is currently covered by the Oregon Health Plan ~ or ~ that your specific insurance company will cover prescription diapers.
  2. Make an appointment to see your child's pediatrician (or call) to request a prescription for diapers.
  3. Ask your child's pediatrician to fax the prescription to the attention of:

Kathleen at Byram Healthcare at 1-877-845-6668

You will receive a call from Byram Healthcare to verify information and discuss quantity needed.

Once the paperwork process is complete, the diapers will be delivered to families, usually within a few days.

Parents may also call Byram Healthcare independently and give them their pediatrician's contact information and Byram will call their pediatrician and take care of paperwork (i.e., getting the required prescription, etc.).

For questions, parents may call Kathleen at Byram at 877-902-9726.
