Retirement in Mille Lacs County Branch

Congratulations to Branch Librarian Kathy Morrow on her retirement from the Mille Lacs Lake Community Library in Isle . As a former English teacher and writer, Kathy reflected on how she's enjoyed promoting reading for children and adults. She said she especially had fun conducting pre-school storytimes and then seeing the school successes achieved by those early readers as they went off to college. Kathy gave praise to the Friends of the Library for their support of reading programs by providing the incentives that encourage the kids to read.

Kathy reflected on the changing library toward providing electronic services and how important it's been to help people learn to use email and the internet. She said in her retirement letter: "I have most enjoyed encouraging children and adults, whether in improving their reading, advancing their careers and hobbies or learning to use the computer."

Best wishes, Kathy, and happy reading!
