Greetings!
What an amazing September we had where the Okanagan meets the Shuswap! Talk about an extension of summer. Changing colours coupled with glorious temperatures and endless sunshine meant more people out enjoying our beautiful area.
The Cliff Avenue Pedestrian Market, featuring the vendors of the Open Air Market will continue to bring travelers off the highway on Friday morning for another few weeks. It has been such a fantastic summer for the market, please make sure you continue to attend and show support for our local growers, artisans and businesses.
The Chamber, in partnership with local social media expert Jennifer Kent Marketing and Shuswap Tourism is thrilled to bring world-renowned social media and marketing icon, and acclaimed author Scott Stratten (UnMarketing) to the Shuswap area as part of his upcoming book tour!! What a tremendous opportunity to learn from one of the world's most leading experts on marketing, social media and modern-day customer service. For more info on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and to purchase your tickets visit www.shuswapevents.com, and trust me, you do not want to miss your opportunity to see (and learn from) Scott live!
Lastly, don't forget that October 20th is Canada's 1st Annual Small Business Saturday. We will be featuring our local small business members everyday on our social media channels for two weeks prior. Click the link to the right to find out more about Small Business Saturday! Cheers! Darren |
