Purple Day

March 26, 2015
Cassidy Megan created the idea of Purple Day in 2008, motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy. Cassidy's goal is to get people talking about epilepsy in an effort to dispel myths and inform those with seizures that they are not alone.
Here are some things you can do to promote Purple Day in our community:
- Wear purple on March 26th!
- Deck out your Twitter and FaceBook accounts
- Bake some purple cupcakes and host a bake sale to raise awareness
- Organize a Purple Day coffee house or concert
- Set up an information booth at your church, work or school
- Set up a training by contacting us at 302-999-931

April 12-14, 2015
We will once again be joining with The Epilepsy Foundation of America for the Teens Speak Up! Conference in Washington, DC from April 12-14, 2015. Teens Speak Up! is a program that provides an opportunity for teens with epilepsy and their parents to join other young advocates in the nation's capital, receive advocacy training, meet with their legislators, and tell their personal stories.
We thank our delegate Rebekah Marvin, a 14 year old from Wilmington and her mother Margaret, who will be joining Ellen and Val in Washington, DC to participate in this event.

During this event our staff, board and volunteers met with many of Delaware's legislators to discuss the epilepsy communities policy priorities. Attendees shared why epilepsy is so important to them and to encourage legislators to support the Epilepsy Foundation. We thank all Delaware legislators who attended the event.
Annual Gala
Our Annual Gala on March 6th was a huge success and we thank our sponsors, silent auction donors, volunteers, guests and donors.
This is our largest fundraising event of the year and we couldn't have don
e it without the support of our community of supporters.
