Know someone interested in the financial planning profession? Our 12 th annual Career Day is a great opportunity for students and career changers alike to connect with potential financial planning employers and professionals.

A step above the average career fair, this affordable day-long event includes workshops, presentations, networking, and interviews with local firms. Those interested can learn more and sign up here. Retirement is a huge financial milestone for your clients. During our chapter meeting on February 20, we’ll dive into ways you can expand your value as a retirement coach with presenter Mitch Anthony, founder and president of Advisor Insights and the Financial Life Planning Institute.

Volunteer Spotlight: High school "Shark Tank" competition
Some of our members recently volunteered to serve as judges for Maranatha Christian Academy’s entrepreneurial “Shark Tank” competition.

Inspired by the popular TV show, groups developed business presentations and judges evaluated each group on their market analysis, assessment of the competitiv e environment, and presentation skills. Two student groups were selected to continue on to the multi-school competition at the University of Minnesota .
