Recently while driving to church I noticed a business' sign with this message on their marquee,
The Groundhog is a Liar!
In the next day or two I saw another one in a different place:
Not My Groundhog!
Obviously, this is a bit of satirical humor being added to the fact that we are enjoying unusually mild weather for this time of year, but it does remind us too that we are living in a moment of vitriolic rhetoric in our country. Political tensions that divide our country, families, and even God's family are reaching breaking- points. So, how do we as believers live out Jesus' challenge that we are to be "Light to the World" by setting the example of how God wants us to live in love and compassion toward others? How do we serve the world that He loves as "Salt of the Earth" seasoning society with His grace?
The current series of sermons, The Master's Touch, is challenging us to a higher standard of living when it comes to virtuous living. Our lifestyle according to the Master is to be "in the world, but not of the world." In other words, we are not to reflect the unbelieving society in which we live, rather, we are to reflect the values of an eternal loving, compassionate, God of truth and holiness. When we do, we impact for good the world in which we live. When the Master touches our lives, the old life in sin is crucified and new life comes into us through Christ's death and resurrection and the power of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:19-20; II Corinthians 5:17). People should be able to see a difference - for good - in how we live. This series of sermons which began in January is reminding us of the basics of our relationship with God through Christ. They are giving us the parameters for faithful living. They address the question, "How then should we live?" The series will conclude this month with our Associate State Pastor, Jeff Matas, delivering the message on the topic, "Respect for Others." If you have missed any of these sermons you can go to our website ( and pick it up. Now you can see and hear the whole recorded service!
On March 19th I will be starting the Easter series entitled, Transformation. I hope you can join us in person or by the podcast on our website. Keep these words of the Apostle Paul in your thoughts during this great season of hope: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. -Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Timothy 4:12 - "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." NIV
2017 has been amazing in Faith Factory!! Currently, I am at a Children's Ministry Conference in New Albany, Indiana! There has been so much great information and love shared! I love being surrounded by people who share our hearts for introducing kids to Jesus! My goal for the conference was to get some new ideas for our ministry. We have opportunities to disciple our kids and others, better! Once the conference is over and God guides the decisions, there might be some drastic changes to our children's ministry! Matthew 28:19 Jesus says, "Go and make disciples...". We have amazing disciples that are 12 years old and under!! They are just as capable (if not more!) as any adult to spread the Gospel! This has been what God has laid on my heart all week! We just have to figure out how to get out into our community and do so! Thank you for this opportunity, it has richly blessed me.
On January 29th, the FAB4 kids dug into making muddie buddies for our shut ins! There was a little bit of powder sugar misplaced, but what a great time! We then loaded up to visit and deliver them! Our kids LOVE visiting the shut ins! We weren't able to make it to a few, so we will catch up with them next time!
Last month we asked that you, "Please be in prayer for Faith Factory as we are seeking God's guidance on making some changes to be more effective!" Boy did God answer that prayer!! We have started a new video based curriculum for each age range during Sunday school! What a blessing this has been! The curriculum's goal is the same mission as our church, it's relevant, it's engaging, it teaches the Bible, worship songs and scripture memorization! Oh...and it's free!! Like I said earlier, 2017 has been amazing! How great is our God?
In Warehouse quarterly service project was to collect enough Mac & Cheese to build a Mansion! We will be donating 189 boxes of mac & cheese to Love INC and New Life Meal Ministry! Thanks to all who donated! In February the kids sold maple, vanilla and caramel clusters to raise funds to purchase music from JumpStart 3! The goal was to raise $399 to purchase this scripture based music, but we were blessed beyond measure and raised $515!! Thank you all!
Thank you to all the adult hearts that have loved on our kid hearts this year! Heart 2 Heart is a ministry to connect the generations, actively show God's love to our kids and make kids feel loved! Please be in prayer over your involvement in this vital ministry! You will be blessed, guaranteed!
