Easter Eggs, Bunnies, Flowers, Robins - All are symbols of Springtime and Renewal. Don't you love it?
But the greatest symbol for those who believe in Christ is, The Empty Tomb! It is open for the world to see, it is empty for all to believe.
Though there were skeptics, there was never a body. Twenty centuries later, no one has ever produced the bones. The misinformation which began by the leaders of that day to cover-up the incomprehensible continues to the present by those who reject the truth.   However, the reality then as it is now is, Christ has risen! He lives!
The truth was validated by the women who visited the tomb at the break of dawn that Resurrection Day and by the disciples who confirmed the report. This was a profound radical change from the norm! Unexplainable, until you factor in the Divine.
There was something else that began that first Easter and continues to this day, transformed lives! In the days, weeks, months and years following that first Easter, the skeptics and nay-sayers could not explain one obvious fact. Those who encounter the resurrected Christ experience a profound radical change in their lives as well. The Jewish leaders a couple of months after the resurrection and soon after Pentecost, confirmed themselves,
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus (Acts4:13).
"Profound radical change." That is the definition of "transformation." Easter is all about transformation. Beginning at the empty tomb, hope comes forward through the transformation Christ gives. When He comes into lives wrecked by life's circumstances and enslaved by sin, He transforms them. He makes us new creations as the Apostle Paul said.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
Transformation - that is the theme of our services leading up through Easter. We are celebrating the power that brought Jesus out of the tomb and is able to bring people out of spiritual death into new life. We are witnesses to that profound radical change that gives hope to the hopeless; provides a new springtime to those worn out by life; and the assurance that this personal relationship with Jesus Christ is not a passing fad, but a relationship that will last for eternity.
This is why we celebrate Easter! Join us on April 16th at 10:15 for one great and mighty service as we celebrate this resurrection hope. Bring someone with you too!

Timothy 4:12 - "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." NIV
Wow! March is almost over, the first day of spring has passed and there have been a number of changes in the Faith Factory and Warehouse! Following the CM Conference at the end of February we have made multiple changes to better equip our kids to be better disciples!! In Warehouse, we have started a new curriculum that allows for small group time with our leaders! This has created space to get to know the kids better and be more effective with the time we spend with the kids! We have been blessed with new friends often! On March 22nd, Yellow Creek Lake showed up to take over Warehouse! They shared with the kids about church camp and focused on Exodus 3:1-15! The kids read the Bible story and made their own flaming bushes! They received information about what to expect at camp and knowledge of how much fun they'll have! Last year we sent 10 kids to camp and this year our goal is 20 kids! To experience an immersive week of prayer, devotional time, fun, and just time with the Lord is unparalleled; something all kids should experience! Information packets for camp will be available this weekend!
Sunday mornings look a little different in our classrooms! Kids are able to get a little more involved in the Bible story, learning scripture and worship songs! There is an app for our Sprockets and Inspectors called "Bible App for Kids", it can be downloaded on many devices! It will read the Bible story and have interactive applications throughout! Wouldn't it be nice to have our kids learning Bible stories while on a digital device? There is also a Bible app for Gears & Cogs and Polishers through YouVersion that will put the Bible at their fingertips!
On April 5th, we will spend Spring Break at a Fiesta!! We will be doing some local mission work around the church and will then celebrate with maracas, tacos and piƱatas!! April 8th at 10:00 am we will host our annual Easter Egg & Scavenger Hunt as an outreach to the community! April 16th there will be a Baptism Service! April 30th FAB4 kids will be decorating their principal's doors! Just to show a little appreciation for all they do for area students!! We will need some help with this, please see Keely if you are able!
March has been fun watching our new matches! This is a ministry to connect the generations, actively show God's love to our kids and make kids feel loved! Each month a suggestion will be given as a way to connect with your kid heart! This month's suggestion is to ask your kids heart what they are looking forward to while on Spring Break!

Monetary donations are welcome to support expenses such as cleaning the returned attire, scholarships, prom shop setup, etc. Please pray for this new ministry at Faith Community.
