August 2017 Newsletter
Dear Church Family,
I hope you've had a good summer with opportunity to reflect, if not relax. We've certainly enjoyed God's blessings in worship overflowing into missions, both near and far. Thank you for your deep commitment to the Lord and His glorious gospel!
While it may seem in the middle of the summer
a bit premature to highlight
events in the fall, nevertheless, I'd like to recommend your attendance at all or part of a free conference to be held at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, October 26 - 28th.
The "Reformation Celebration Conference," is on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, and is open to all. Given the profound Church and history shaping nature of the Protestant Reformation, the opportunity to attend a conference of this significance, with its many stimulating and enriching lectures, is a privilege right on our doorstep. In addition, the conference features more than a few members of FCCH as speakers!
Many blessings to you,
Impact North Shore Set to Launch

Baptism Service August 13
We invite those in our church family to consider making a profession of faith this summer through a special service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13 at Gull Pond. Those who have not been baptized as infants may make a profession of faith through baptism by immersion. Those baptized as infants may make a public profession of faith to affirm their baptism. Please contact one of the pastors if you are at least
13 years of age and interested in taking this step.
We had a full Barn on Saturday for Episode 2 of Front Porch Stories masterfully told by Fred Blum, Lynn Marcotte and Paul Kelly.
Save the date for Episode 3 coming on September 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Thank you to all who helped this summer with Family Promise! Your time and effort made a difference in these families lives.
Be looking for more ways in the coming months that you can help support the goal of ending homelessness one family at a time with Family Promise.
|Ohio University Visit
For each of the past three years alumni from Ohio University have visited FCCH to discover and explore sites related to Manasseh Cutler. Dr. Cutler was instrumental in arranging the land grant in the Northwest Territories for the founding of a university.
Below is a picture of our recent Ohio University visitors who placed flowers on the grave of Manasseh Cutler. We are grateful for their continued interest in our church, its preeminent pastor from the 18th century, and our role in the formation of their school.
