On The Librarian's Nightstand
The Girl In The Tower
by Katherine Arden

"Arden's lush, lyrical writing cultivates an intoxicating, visceral atmosphere, and her marvelous sense of pacing carries the novel along at a propulsive clip. A masterfully told story of folklore, history, and magic with a spellbinding heroine at the heart of it all."-Booklist (starred review)

Book of the Week
This week's Book of the Week is The Man in the Crooked Hat by Harry Dolan.
The Week's Book of the Week is 'The Man in the Crooked Hat' by Harry Dolan. Harry Dolan writes clever, puzzling, but quick mysteries with classic tropes that don't get old quick. 'The Man in the Crooked Hat' has a 'cloak-and-dagger' feel, where murders are done deliberately and methodically. You won't find frayed ends in this mystery, neither in characters or plot. Some readers will find this mystery a nice break from emotional thrillers; others will find it too neat.

Hoot & Peep: A Song for Snow by Lita Judge

January 9, 2018

Welcome back! The chaos settles and life begins anew. This is one of our favorite times of year, with an important holiday coming right up. The Library will be closed on Monday, January 15th for Martin Luther King Day. MLK Day is a great opportunity to educate ourselves and our families about civil rights issues and history. We have many excellent resources on the civil rights movement, especially for kids. Just ask or look yourself.
