Book of the Week
This week's Book of the Week is 'Home Fire' by Kamila Shamsie.
People are pulled by competing forces at all points in their lives. 'Home Fire' follows the struggle of two families as they try to do what they feel is right by their country, loyalty to their loved ones, their heart's desires, and everything else that gets in the way. Pick up 'Home Fire' if you can relate to being torn in several directions.

The Middle East
September 26, 6:30

The term "Middle East" is a changing geopolitical concept. Throughout recent history, this term referred to a political, a cultural, and a geographical region with no clear boundaries. Moreover, this concept serves to generate stereotypes and misunderstanding. This multimedia presentation by Mohamed Defaa provides an analytical framework to understand the histories, social identities, and cultures behind this complex concept of "Middle East."

Good Day! What a time for a hike, what a time to explore, and what a time to find a good new book!  After you've found your great new book, swing by the circulation desk to see the 3D printer in action. We borrowed it from the State Library of NH, and it is here for this week only.  Catch it while you can.

This week is the annual meeting for the Friends of the Library. Check out the Friends Newsletter here. The Friends are looking for new board members, so please join them, Thursday at 4PM.
