Dear Girl Scout Family,
How's the Cookie Program coming along for your Girl Scout? No doubt she's made progress toward her goals. You should be seeing people skills emerging as she continues to "fine tune" her customer presentation.
In some areas there Mango Cremes sales have been higher than others. We're working to make sure product is available around the council.
Please continue to work with your Troop Product Sales manager to place "planned orders" so we can make sure we've got the Cookies your girl needs in stock.
Thank you to everyone who hosted a booth sale or promoted Girl Scouting on social media during the first National Girl Scout Cookie day. We heard from National CEO Anna Maria Chavez this morning that there were 17 times the number of social media impressions made in 2013 from the same day in 2012. It's pretty exciting what we can all do together!
Have a great week, Girl Scouts!

Volunteers make the difference
Timely updates for GS volunteers.
Volunteer Recognition
Please take time to submit your nomination for someone in your community in recognition of being an awesome Girl Scout volunteer.
Help us honor our local volunteers.
Recognition of our awesome volunteers is always on our mind. How do we show individuals that they are changing the lives of girls and impacting their communities and our world for years to come, and how important they really are? What can we say that will speak as loudly as the smile and giggle of one girl? What token can we buy that will last longer than the memory of one girl's gold award project?
Recognizing that we can not and will not compete with the true meaning and satisfaction that volunteering for Girl Scouts brings, it is still important for staff and volunteers to have an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedication and service our volunteers freely give to the girls in their communities.
Our adult recognition celebrations are held in the spring each year. Please fill out a nomination form with your suggestion as to whom you would like to nominate to receive one of the following awards: Thanks Badge, Thanks Badge II, Honor Pin, Appreciation Pin, President's Award or Volunteer of Excellence.
Check out the descriptions for all of these awards at Volunteer Recognition
