E-Weekly Header

April 8, 2013

Dear Girl Scout Family,

Girl Scout Leader's Day is April 22. The theme this year is Girl Scout Volunteers Rock! Leader's Day is the time when we say a thanks to all of our great volunteers. Please help us extend our appreciation by encouraging girls to say "thanks" to the adults who give time to make their Girl Scout experience meaningful.

In addition to the appreciation from the girls, all registered adults are getting a card designed by Girl Scout Cadette Amanda, with a message from our Board Chair Ruth Molloy and CEO Leigh Ann Davis.  The staff volunteer team is planning recognition events for volunteers. It's important to note that volunteers can attend any event, simply RSVP (it doesn't have to be the one closest to them):
  • April 18, 6-8 p.m. | Rasmussen College, St. Cloud. RSVP to Leah.
  • April 20, 12-3 p.m. | Shingobee Timbers, near Walker (there's also attend a free overnight event for volunteers on Friday, April 19).
    RSVP to Denise.
  • April 25, 6:30-8 p.m. | Central Lakes College, Brainerd. RSVP to Bonnie.
  • April 29, 6-8:30 p.m. | Janette Pollay Cabin, Duluth. RSVP to Shelley
Thanks for choosing to be a part of Girl Scouting. Together we are building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
