Headwaters Parade of Horses Receives the 2015 Creative Cultural Event AwardParadeofHorses

On September 24, 2015, arts and culture was celebrated at the Town of Orangeville's sixth annual Mayor's Breakfast for the Arts, with the announcement of the 2015 Arts and Culture Award winners. The Headwaters Parade of Horses was awarded the 2015 Creative Cultural Event Award at the event.
 
"We are honoured to accept the award on behalf of the Headwaters Parade of Horses artists", said Ross Millar, Chair of the Headwaters Equine Leadership Group. "This amazing group of 40 talented artisans willingly donated their time, inspiration and creativity to bring this project to life, as a legacy to the equestrian events of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games that were hosted in Headwaters this past summer."  Read more

Two Parade of Horses Statues Are Moving to New homes!statuesmoving

Two of the statues on the Headwaters Parade of Horses "Trail" are now moving to their permanent homes where the will be enjoyed and admired in their new settings for a long time to come.


Cricket has been a welcome sight on Hwy 10 in Caledon Village.

Inspired by the beautiful horses that surround Cosack on her family ranch, Cricket evokes a sense of peace with a western horse person riding into the sunset.

Cricket has now moved to his new home on a private farm in Claremont.

Alton the Handsome has been a feature on the lawn in Alton Village Square.

He is an expression of the individuality of 15 unique artists from the Alton Mill Arts Centre.  Alton is a bold and vibrant creation by artists inspired to lay hands embodying the spirit of individuality.

Alton the Handsome will be moving to a private farm in King Township in the first week of October.
