Connie Johnson officially opens "Connie's Poetry Garden."
Connie's Poetry Garden Now Open to Inspire Creativity of Willow Students

Not only did Willow School open its doors at its open house September 29th, but it also opened the doors to its newest learning space for students: Connie's Poetry Garden.

Located in the school's courtyard, the poetry garden consists of stones with words engraved on them and a space where students can arrange and re-arrange the stones to create poems and phrases.

Created to honor beloved 1st-grade teacher Connie Johnson, this garden of words will provide opportunities for Willow School students to enjoy and create for many years to come while establishing a lasting legacy to Connie's love of teaching and learning. Connie cut the ribbon to the new garden and welcomed both students and parents with plenty of hugs and smiles.

Willow is hoping to add another 200 words to the garden. If you would like to donate an engraved stone, please send a $20 check (payable to Willow School) to Willow School, ATTN: Connie's Poetry Garden, 1804 Willow Road, Homewood, IL, 60430.

I AM.....

Churchill School students were asked to come up with a word to complete the sentence, "I am..." for Ms. Coffey's annual open house video. We think they used some AWESOME descriptors!

Hope you enjoy.
