Fly Humboldt Coalition Forming
Community Responds To Recent Setbacks

After the sudden departure of Horizon Airlines, the Aviation Division, Redwood Region Economic Development Commission, Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce, and Humboldt County Convention and Visitors Bureau joined forces to create the "Fly Humboldt Coalition."  Efforts are underway to create a steering committee and a workplan for the coalition.

United Express To Add Flights In June

The Aviation Division has been in discussions with SkyWest about increasing service to ACV to mitigate the recent departure of Horizon Airlines.  Starting in June, United Express will be adding flights, with one additional departure and arrival on weekdays.  In addition, on Saturdays, there will be two additional departures and one additional arrival.

The Division and its community partners continue to engage with both the existing carrier and potential new carriers regarding service at the airport.

Aviation Division Creates Online Work Request System

To better serve the needs of the airport tenants, the Aviation Division now offers an online work order request system. Tenants are encouraged to utilize the online system as the preferred method to submit a service request.

Work order requests will be reviewed and all requests should receive feedback within one to three business days.

Earn Airline Miles While Parking At ACV

Republic Parking System and Thanks Again, LLC have joined forces to enable Humboldt County regional travelers to automatically earn airline miles from six major air carriers when they park at the Arcata/Eureka Airport.

Thanks Again LogoConsumer enrollment in the program is Free, Quick and Secure. Simply register any credit or debit card at www.thanksagain.com/republic. Customers can register up to five different cards.

"Republic Parking System welcomes the addition of the Thanks Again Traveler Loyalty Program as a value-added service to our parking operation at the Arcata/Eureka Airport," said Bob Linehart, Executive Vice President, Republic Parking System.

To qualify to earn miles, enrolled members must pay for on-airport parking with their registered credit or debit card. From April 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011, enrolled travelers earn 1 mile for every $1 spent.

These airline miles are above and beyond any miles that consumers may already earn on affinity credit or debit reward cards they register in the Thanks Again Traveler Loyalty Program.

Thank you for your interest in Humboldt County Aviation.
