""If you can't change it, change the way you think about it"
Mary Engelbreit

This month, we're focusing on resilience.  For some of us, that means finding something to smile about even as we dig ourselves out of another dump of snow.  For others, it's about getting up again after life has knocked us down.  In our Items of Interest section we've got a number of links to some great reads that help define what resilience is, and how we can build our own resilience at work and in our personal lives.   There's also a Bonus Article by Insight's own Doug Upchurch with Tips for Learner Engagement.

We've got the regular updates on upcoming Insights Discovery Accreditations and Renewal sessions, as well as another report on the Gift of Discovery and how Insights is helping transform organizations and the individuals who work with them.

So as we get ready to greet Spring, we invite you to take five, top up your favorite mug, and catch up on the latest news and information from Insights Learning and Development.

GiftGiving the Gift of Discovery

Giving back is often the essence of an insightful and fulfilling experience.

Stella Cooper, a Client Practitioner with LGM Financial partnered with Insights Learning and Development to deliver the Gift of Discovery for members of an organization that is near and dear to her heart.  Here is her story.

On February 1st, I delivered a full-day Beginning the Journey workshop to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation staff and long term volunteers. This workshop was without a doubt the most meaningful session of my career.

I have 2 sisters with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. At present, there is no cure for CF. We lost one of our sisters to the CF condition when she was just 36.  This special day happened with the lot of help: the company Insights, as part of their Gift of Discovery program, covered the entire cost of the profiles for the participants and through our LGM Giving Back program I was able to offer this session to a group of highly engaged staff/volunteers.
