Winter and spring are busy times in our office as many of you schedule Mentoring Ministry Orientation Coffees and order
Mentor and Mentee Handbooks
for me to sign and ship out to you. What a blessing knowing these will go to M&M's soon enjoying the blessings of a one-on-one mentoring relationship. I always wonder what God has planned for the women receiving the handbooks.
Then there are so many of you starting new Woman to Woman Mentoring Ministries in your churches! In Titus 2:3:5, Paul wrote to the young pastor Titus during pagan times, not too different from the secular culture we live in today. Women are trying to find their way in an uncertain world that tries to pull them away from the Bible, the only source of Truth and hope--Jesus Christ and His Word. This is not the time for Christian women to take a break from mentoring in their personal lives and in their churches. This is our moment to shine as Christian lights and beacons in a dark world. To show the way for the next generation, easily led astray by false teachers and causes.
March has also included the exciting, and nerve-wracking, experience of picking the cover for the September release of Mentoring for All Seasons: Sharing Life's Experiences and God's Faithfulness. You're going to LOVE the cover, and I can't wait to share this book with you later in the year because it will be a tool to help every woman mentor and every tween, teen, millennial, and woman find a mentor!

I would love to hear your mentoring stories to share with other churches in this newsletter. What's going on in your mentoring ministries? I was so blessed to hear of a Woman to Woman Mentoring Ministry in its sixteenth year! Wow!

I would love to receive that story for my next book. I've had some health issues that have slowed down the writing, so I'm still receiving stories. "GRAMMIE'S CORNER"
SKYPE Mentoring
My two granddaughters, ages 8 and 11, and I've been doing my Face-to-Face with Mary and Martha Bible study via SKYPE on Sunday afternoons. We open in prayer, the girls open their Bibles and Bible studies, I open mine, and a way we go. When we finish the study, we do prayer requests and pray for each other. I'm always blessed by how open an honest they are with their prayer requests. Big brother usually stops by to give us his prayer requests and join us in prayer. I try to keep it to an hour so we have time for them to tell me what's been happening in their life.
One week, we had fun with an impromptu skit where the girls acted out trying to put on their new life in Christ over their old life before Christ by putting on new shiny clothes over old shabby clothes.
Last Sunday, they asked if one of the eleven-year-old's friends could join us. At first, I was skeptical, but she was a delight. She brought her Bible and the girls made a copy of the pages we were studying for her to use. She participated and it was fun to see our Bible study group grow, but I don't think we'll be able to fit any more faces on the computer screen unless they set up backrow seating.

Christian parents are instructed to train and lead their children to Jesus, but kids are not a parenting report card. That truth can give the freedom to parent with love and patience, trusting God to do the rest. Many parents desire that kind of relationship with their children, but don't know where to begin. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by all they need to "do" to accomplish all aspects of discipleship at once, parents can find a starting point and follow practical ideas one at a time. For example, a reader can start with teaching his or her child about prayer and then move on to a next step of sharing truths he or she is learning from the Bible. Small changes yield big results throughout time, leading to a total family makeover!
What can we expect to find in Total Family Makeover that will help parents practically?
In John 14:23, "Jesus replied, 'All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.'" God wants to make His home with us.
