Greetings!

The 2011 high school soccer season was an exciting one for Jersey Knights players. The Knights, with players competeing all over the Central New Jersey Area had many players recognized for their stellar play during the season. Read below to see some of the honors Jersey Knights Soccer Club players and coaches have earned.
Women's 2011 Honor Roll!

Kelly Baylis
Jersey Knights Women continue to enjoy success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their performances on the soccer field during the Fall 2011 season. Leading this years class  earning All State or All Area Honors include Kelly Baylis, Kerianne Cahlilane, Alexandra Chinich and Shawna Grabowski.

Kelly Baylis , a central midfielder for South Brunswick High School and the U18 Mystic, led the Vikings to another stellar season. Kelly scored 2 goals and had 9 assists while operating as the maestro of a loaded South Brunswick midfield. She earned NJGSCA All State Recognition and was named 1st Team All Area by the Home News and 1st Team All GMC by Greater Middlesex Coaches including the All Red Division Team. Kelly also earned 2nd Team All Middlesex Honors by the Star Ledger. Kelly will be continuing her career at East Stroudsburg University in the Fall. Kerianne Cahlilane a striker for Bishop Ahr High School and the U18 Mystic scored 29 goals with 12 asssits this past season.

Kerianne earned NJGSCA All State Recognition and was named  All Area 1st Team by the Home News Tribune and All Middlesex County 1st Team by the Star Ledger. In addition, she was named  1st Team All GMC by Greater Middlesex Conference Coaches including All Blue Division.  Shawna Grabowski earned NJGSCA All State Recognition and was named 1st Team All Area by the Home News and 1st Team All GMC by Greater Middlesex Coaches as well as earning 1st Team All Middlesex Honors by the Star Ledger including the All Red Division Team.. .Shawna, a forward from Woodbridge High School, scored 11 Goals with 6 assists this season and was the main

scoring threat for the Barons team. Shawna plays for the U18 Mystic. Alexandra Chinich a midfielder from North Brunswick High School and also from the U18 Mystic earned NJGSCA All State Recognition and was 1st Team All GMC Honors named by GMC coaches including All White Division. She also earned 2nd Team All Area Honors by the Star Ledger and Honorable Mention All Area Honors from the Home News Tribune.

Angie Lopez (U18 Mystic), a striker for Rahway High School earned NJGSCA All State Recognition and All State Group 3 honors from the Star Ledger this season. In addition, Angie earned recognition as 1st Team All Union County by the Star Ledger and Honorable Mention on the Home News All Area Team. Jennifer Collins (U18 Mystic) and Morgan Peacock (U17 Cavalry)

both from Edison High School were recognized on the GMC All Red Division Team as voted by Greater Middlesex coaches. In addtion, both Jen and Morgan earned 3rd team All Area from the Home News Tribune and 3rd Team All Middlesex County by the Star Ledger. Jen also earned NJGSCA All State Honors. Jen a defender and Morgan a forward both play for Knights Coach Maria Leonow at Edison High School.

 

Courtney McKiernan and Kristin Figl, both midfielders from Middlesex High School and the U18 Mystic earned NJGSCA All State Recognition and GMC All Blue Division Honors as well as All Area Honorable Mention Recognition from the Home News Tribune and Honorable Mention All Middlesex County from the Star Ledger. 

 

Megan Dunn, a goalkeeper from Old Bridge High School and the U18 Mystic, earned All Area Honorable Mention Recognition

 from the Home News Tribune and All Middlesex County 3rd Team Honors from the Star Ledger. Megan is also a keeper for the NJ ODP Program. Christy Falzone (U18 Mystic), also from Old Bridge High School, earned All Middlesex County 2nd Team from the Star Ledger and All Area Honorable Mention from the Home News Tribune.

 

Emily Jarosiewicz (U17 Cavalry), a central defender from Monroe High School, earned Home News Tribune All Area status and GMC

All White Division Honors as voted by Greater Middlesex Coaches. Nina Pangan (U17 Cavalry), a sweeper for the Wardlaw-Hartridge School, was maned to the NJSIAA Independent School All Prep 2nd Team. Nina also earned Honorable Mention on the Home News Tribune All Area Team.

School and the U18 Mystic, earned All Area Honorable Mention Recognition from the Home News Tribune. Taylor Packwood, a forward form Franklin Township High School and the U17 Cavalry, earned  Honorable Mention All Area Honors from the Home News Tribune. Emily Corson, a sophmore form Metuchen High School and the U16 Ambush earned All Area Honorable Mention on the Home News Tribune Team. emily is a midfielder for the Bulldogs.

Men's 2011 Honor Roll! 
Jersey Knights Men also continue to enjoy much success at the high school level in soccer. Congratulations to all Knights players who were recognized for their performances on the soccer field during the Fall 2011 Season. Leading this year's group of honorees earning All State or All Area Honors are Ryan Semple, Nick Cuzzola and Rob Shalikar.

 

Ryan Semple, was named to the 1st Team All Greater Middlesex Conference by GMC Coaches, and 1st team All GMC Red Division. Ryan also was named to the Home News Tribune All Area 2nd Team and the Star Ledger All Middlesex County 2nd Team.

 

Nico Cuzzola, a midfielder from Colonia High School scored 7 goals wioth 8 assists for the Patriots. He earned 1st Team All Greater Middlesex Conference Honors as recognized by GMC Coaches, and 1st team All GMC White Division. Nick also was named  to the Home News Tribune All Area 1st Team and the Star Ledger All Middlesex County 2nd Team. 

 

Rob Shalikar (U18 Falcons), a defender and undisputed leader of the strong East Brunswick defense, scored 6 goals with 3 assists. Rob earned 1st Team All Area honors from the Home News Tribune and 1st Team All State from the Star Ledger. In addition, Rob was named to the All GMC team as well as 1st Team all Group 4 and All Middlesex County by the Star Ledger. Rob was also recognized as the top player in the GMC by Greater Middlesex Conference Coaches.

 

Grant Korten (U17 Gunners), from East Brunswick High School, earned all Area Honorable Mention Honors from the Home News Tribune and 3rd Team All Middlesex County Honors from the Star Ledger. Matt Fox (U18 Falcons), a central defender from North Brunswick High School, was one of the leaders of what was argueably the top defense in Middlesex County. Matt earned All Area Honors 3rd Team from the Home News Tribune and 2nd Team All Middlesex County from the Star Ledger. Alec Metsch, from East Brunswick High School and the U18 Falcons, earned Home News Tribune All Area 3rd Team and the Star Ledger All Middlesex County 2nd Team Honors.

 

Nick Revano, a back from the Hun School and the U17 Gunners, earned All State Prep Division 3rd Team Honors from the Star Ledger. Alec Donohue from Colonia High School and the U18 Falcons earned All Area 2nd Team Honors from the Home News Tribune and All White Division 1st Team Honors by GMC coaches. Matt Distefano from JP Stevens High School and the U18 Falcons, earned All Area Honorable Mention Honors from the Home News Tribune and 1st team All Red Division Honors from GMC coaches. 

 

Matt Teibwasser from Colonia High School and the U18 Falcons, earned All Area Honorable Mention Honors from the Home News Tribune and All White Division 1st Team Honors from GMC coaches. Jon Phelan from Metuchen High School and the U18 Falcons, earned All Area Honorable Mention Honors from the Home News Tribune and All Blue Division 1st Team Honors from GMC coaches.Matt Gandy from Monroe High School and the U18 Falcons,earned All Area Honorable Mention Honors from the Home News Tribune. Kevin Almeida from Woodbridge High School and the U18 Falcons earned All Area Honorable Mention Honors from the Home News Tribune and All White Division 1st Team Honors from GMC coaches.

Winter Programs 

Registration Still Open!

Little Kickers

Winter Programs for 2012 include the very popular Little Kickers Soccer Program and The Training Club. Little Kickers is a fun-filled soccer program that is designed to expose youngsters ages 4-7 years of age to the joy of playing soccer. The Training Club is a program that is a technical skills program designed for children 8-11 years of age. Players at both programs are trained by the Knights professional staff of coaches. Jersey Knight Coaches Spotlight! 

Elvir Prasovic

 

Elvir Prasovic is the Trainer/Coach for the Jersey Knights Falcons U18B. His emphasis on  hard work and dedication has motivated nine of his Falcon players to earn post season honors this year.
Elvir is an educator in the New Brunswick School District and the varsity head coach for the New Brunswick High School men's team. This past season he led the Zebras to an overall 14-5 finish . In addition, the Zebras finished 2nd in GMC White Division with a record of 11-3.

Mike Kizoulis


Mike Kizoulis is an educator in Woodbridge School District and the varsity men's coach for Colonia High School  Coach Kizoulis led the Colonia Patriots to an 11-8-1 record this past season. The Patriots had a 3rd place finish in the GMC White Division with a 8-5-1 record. 

 

Mike is the Trainer/Coach of the very successful U18G  Jersey Knights Mystic and a member of the JerseyKnights Board of Directors. Mike's work with Knights women's teams has been impressive. This year eight of his Mystic players earned post season honors.

Pedro Lopes

 

Pedro Lopes is the Soccer Director for Jersey Knights Men's Program and Director of Training for the Club.  In addition, he is the Trainer /Coach of the U16B Wizards. He is a member of the Knights Board of Directors.

Pedro has an impressive soccer resume that includes being named a 2x All-American at Rutgers University and extensive college coaching experience at the Division 1 level. He has been with the Jersey Knights Program for over 15 years. 

 

 

Steve MacKenzie

 

Steve MacKenzie is a highly regarded high school coach who has been with the Knights in various capacities for over 10 years. Steve is a teacher in the Monroe School District and the long-time varsity head coach for the Monroe High School Men's Team.  

 

This past season he led the Falcons to an overall record of 12-6-1 and a 2nd place finish in the GMC Red Division with a 10-4 record. 

He is a very versitle coach who effectively works with playes of all ages. In addition to his coaching the Knights U20 Y-League mens team he also is the Trainer coach for the Jersey Knights  10B Crusaders.
