Lydia Ebinger Has Fun At KEEN While Bringing Happiness to Others

"How great it would be to have a little girl like Lydia," said a couple of KEEN coaches to Lydia's parents, Ed and Jane Ebinger, after one of our programs. Nine year old Lydia has been stealing hearts at KEEN since she started participating in our Sports program in Washington, DC, more than three years ago. Initially, Lydia didn't particularly care about what was happening in the gym. But after a short while, her interest and enthusiasm grew. Now Lydia prefers to be in the middle of all the action, regardless of how much or how little she can actively participate. Currently, she enjoys being a part of KEEN Sports, Soccer and Music. KEEN Music is her favorite. Although she is non-verbal, Lydia loves to serve as the group's conductor and really enjoys the friends she's made. Whether she's at KEEN Sports, Soccer or Music, Lydia wears a smile that lights up the room and provides a burst of joy to everyone she meets.
